Advertising

Business Advertising Plan
• A Facebook account: Facebook is a free way to reach out to all the possible patients. I am looking for teenagers and the college population to be in my facility and a Facebook account can get my name out there and is a free way to try and add as many people as possible from different sports teams and universities.
• You Tube: I know from personal experience that going “youtubing” is just a simple part of many people’s days. I will upload multiple videos including clips from Twilight, Famous Sports events, and famous speeches and in the beginning include a 15 second clip promoting, advertising, and explaining my facility. This is completely free and many websites use this as an advertising tool to make money. On You Tube I can upload videos that millions of people like to watch and at the same time it will get my name out there.
• The Web: Create my own Website: Creating my own website may be difficult but is definitely effective. I will include it on my Facebook, on You Tube, and will tell local friends to get my views up. I figure that if people ever use a search engine to help find their “specific needs”, then it is key to have my website online because it is the future and will create easier access for my customers.I will also have links on my website to (NEDA) National Association of Eating Disorders and (IAEDP) International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals and have my information referenced by them. I will also place adds on the web that come up on search engines such as Google and Yahoo, with key words such as bulimia, eating disorders, ect.
• College and High school Newspapers: A key part to my population is college athletes and people in that age bracket. Buying advertisements in College and high school newspapers is a cheap way to keep my budget down and a great way to get straight to the source of my population. Many high schools contain thousands and colleges 10’s of thousands of students and with small donations to the school newspaper all the students can get help easier and keep viewing the name just for recommendation purposes.
• Television: I have a smaller budget but I have room for one major expense in the advertising category. I will air one or two commercials on ESPN, a major sports network, advertising my company. Anyone and everyone who is into sports views ESPN sometime and it is an expensive but effective way to get the hospital nationwide coverage. My type of business is about success but also about getting the viewer to trust my company. My company is going to take hits in the beginning, but if they see my company on TV it is more highly regarded and will more likely be trusted or looked into by its viewers.
• Business Cards and Recommendations: Locate multiple hospitals such as Kaiser Permanente etc. who do not contain eating disorder facilities and send them your card so that if they ever have a patient you will get business through recommendations. This occurs a lot for dentistry or psychologists and it is an easy way to get cheap advertising with just a little work and looking into the hospitals.
• Magazines:Sports Illustrated: I will place an advertisement in sports illustrated. This is a magazine viewed almost strictly by athletes and people in the market of even caring about sports. Since my population has to do with athletes with eating disorders, it is important for me to get my hospital name out as much as possible once again for trust, security, and merely for the business aspect. I will also put adds in "The Gurze,"
• Flyers: I can seal flyers in envelopes and put them in people’s mailboxes and I can also randomly put them in sports clubs, send them to different medical centers, psychiatrist and therapists, and hand them out at Eating Disorder Conferences. This is attract many doctors, therapists, ect, and the public, who can then become familiar with Passions. Flyers at fitness clubs may catch someone's eye who doesn't need treatment but might refer a friend. It is a cheap and easy way to get a lot of people to become aware of my company. It would be more limited to a close proximity since I would be putting up flyers in campuses and local stores but I can also mail them out on mailing lists. This would cost money, but I would balance my budget to find the most effective way to spend my money.

These are my business advertising plans for company. I try and spread out my advertising from internet, to TV, to written documents. A wide spectrum of advertising will catch people’s attention whether they are driving, watching their favorite show, or merely scanning the internet. I figure this is the best way possible for my business to succeed.
